about commmons

"commmons" is from five perspectives
We will create a new music business.

1. Sustainability

Instead of aiming for a big blockbuster hit, we will practice a “long tail” business that builds a long-term relationship between manufacturers and users through solid marketing, development and rediscovery of long-loved music. We also aim to become a "green label" in both name and reality by practicing as much as possible the environmental considerations and measures that we can take on a case-by-case basis, including the adoption and development of ecological packaging and label operation using natural energy (purchase of green power certificates).

2. Package × Download

It is clear that the method of music distribution will shift to digital distribution more and more, but it is a truth that it is true that "attachment to things" will not disappear, and it is a choice between "package and download". We will promote efficient sales that combine new and old distribution, such as direct sales by mail order and Internet shopping, promotion of download sales, etc., in addition to effective use of retail, including existing mass retailers. Deliver "music" to users in the best way it needs it.

3. Creative environment development

We will create an environment where artists who agree with the concept of commmons can easily gather and take on new challenges, and we will also focus on discovering and nurturing new talent. We will also actively develop educational programs and hold workshops to pass on our experience and knowledge in music production to the next generation.

4. Market creation

In addition to traditional music production that is tied to gender and age, we will cultivate and create new markets for people of all ages, regardless of age or sex, who are always genuine and who have potential for the future.

5. Borderless collaboration

We will not only collaborate with the music industry and its surrounding industries, but also seek new ways of producing and providing music that will involve other industries and listeners both in Japan and overseas.
