mi-gu is a solo project by a drummer - Yuko Araki.
She has been participating in many artists' recording sessions, such as CORNELIUS, salyu, Kururi, Kyoko, SHIKAO SUGA, Sukimaswitch, COIL, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Yoko Ono...etc.
mi-gu has released the 1st album "migu" in Europe and Japan on the 16th April in 2003.The second album "From space" has released on the 6th September in 2006. Her most recent album "pulling from above" has released from commmons which is the label by Ryuichi Sakamoto on the 6th May 2009.
She has been collaborated with many overseas artists recently and also acts as a band member of "brother's sister's daughter" with Mike watt, and "If By Yes" with Yuka Honda and Petra Haden. As a drummer, we can not take our eyes off from her activities.
