Last July, "SPACE BALLOON PROJECT" was conducted by Samsung Electronics in Nevada, USA, based on the concept of "speaking everyone's voice into space."
This grand project is to put Samsung's smartphone ``GALAXY SII'' on a special balloon and launch it to 30,000 m above the sky and display the ``message you want to send to space'' posted on Twitter, Facebook, mixi etc. in outer space It was broadcast live on Ustream and many messages were delivered to the world in real time along with the scenery from space.


"SPACE BALLOON PROJECT" won the grand prize in the corporate division of "Yahoo! JAPAN Internet Creative Award 2011".
Subsequently, he won the grand prize in the entertainment section of the "15th Japan Media Arts Festival".


Seven sets of gorgeous artists provided music for this big project.
The participating artists of the project are Open Reel Ensemble, □□□, Kotringo, Yasuaki Shimizu, Miu Sakamoto, Masakatsu Takagi, ROY (respect omitted).
Six of them will be released on January 25th as "BEST OF GALAXY MUSIC".

During the 90 minutes flight of SPACE BALLOON, these songs, which continued to flow in the back of the message, received a lot of inquiries from the viewers as well as the project itself, and it got great attention.
