Glenn Gould Gathering is a special project to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Glenn Gould's birth and the 150th anniversary of the founding of Canada, from December 13th (Wednesday) to 17th (Sunday), 2017 at Sogetsu Hall in Tokyo. , Special event at the Oscar Peterson Theater, Embassy of Canada in Japan.

Under the curation of Ryuichi Sakamoto, various guests were invited to hold a wide range of exhibitions / live performances around Gould, including talks, special live performances, sound installations, and movie screenings.
In the live "Glenn Gould-Remodels" at Sogetsu Hall held at this event, Ryuichi Sakamoto, who has admired Gould since childhood, was the center, and in addition to his friends Christian Fenneth and Alva Noto, who are fans of Gould, respectively. Francesco Tristano, a talented pianist from Luxembourg, remodeled Gould with his own sensibilities.
This live ticket, which was held in the minimal space of Sogetsu Hall, sold out on the same day and became a super premium ticket.
Ryuichi Sakamoto is playing "andata" from his album async and Bach's work, which is synonymous with Gould (first commercialized as a video).
In the final track "Coda for Glenn (composed by Francesco Tristano, world premiere)", the personalities of the four performers collided, and Gould shocked the audience with a bold interpretation of the original song. I finished it.

In commemoration of the release of the Blu-ray Disc product that recorded this live pattern, you can enjoy it in the best surround environment on the screen 1 of TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, which boasts custom-made speakers and has one of the best audio equipment in Japan. A special screening will be held.
