Ryuichi Sakamoto participates in LUCERNE FESTIVAL ARK NOVA 2013 in MATSUSHIMA held from September 27 and  October 14, 2013.

LUCERNE FESTIVAL ARK NOVA is a project supported by LUCERNE FESTIVAL, which was established in Switzerland and now as a prominent music festival, gathers world renowned orchestras, conductors, and performers. The venue selected is Matsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture--a city historically famous for its beautiful scenery. Healing the people with its beauty even after being struck after the unforgettable earthquake and tsunamis on March 11, 2011, this venue will welcome the balloon structured hall named ARK NOVA, where world class music and performance, traditional local performance art will come together as one. Since ARK NOVA Hall is a mobile hall, it can travel around the disaster areas and bring people together creating interactions. A Music Festival where people are touched and encouraged by the power of music and culture will unfold here.
